Project Deletion
The Project Deletion page in the Digisquares platform enables users to delete projects permanently or move them to an archive for future reference. Deleted projects are removed after 30 days, and this includes the loss of all associated data.
Deletion Process
When attempting to delete a project, users are prompted with a warning message before proceeding. The following details are provided during the process:
- Warning Message: Users are notified that the project will be archived and permanently deleted after 30 days.
- Confirmation Options: Users are provided with Yes and No options to confirm or cancel the deletion.
Below are the screenshots illustrating the deletion process:
Delete Project Confirmation
Before deleting, the user is prompted with a warning, ensuring they understand the data loss implications. If they click Yes, the project will be archived, and after 30 days, it will be permanently deleted.
Deletion Options
Users can also access the delete option via the project card's menu:
Project Card Menu Options
Each project card has a dropdown menu with actions users can take. These actions include:
- View: Allows the user to view details about the project.
- Edit: Opens the project for editing.
- Delete: Initiates the deletion process, as described above.
Benefits of Project Deletion
- Data Cleanliness: Deleting unnecessary projects helps maintain a clean workspace.
- Safe Deletion: The 30-day deletion policy provides a buffer period to recover important data, preventing accidental loss.
Notes
- Archiving Projects: Projects marked for deletion are archived for 30 days. During this period, they can still be restored if needed.
- Permanent Deletion: Once a project is permanently deleted after the 30-day period, all associated data is irretrievable.
